How Taken:
Take this medication exactly as it was prescribed for you. Do not crush, chew, or open the capsules. Swallow them whole. Take each dose with a full glass of water. The capsules are specially formulated to release slowly in your body. Do not take the medication in larger amounts, or take it for longer than recommended by your doctor. Warnings Precautions:
Tell your doctor before taking this medication, if you have: enlargement of the prostate; or asthma, chronic lung disease, or allergies, numbness or tingling in your hands or feet; liver disease; ulcerative colitis; thyroid problems; high blood pressure, an irregular heartbeat, or any type of heart disease. Missed Dose:
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take the medicine at your next regularly scheduled time. Do not take extra medicine to make up the missed dose.
Side Effects:
Talk to your doctor and continue to take Levbid if you experience: headache, dizziness, or lightheadedness; weakness or nervousness; blurred vision, large pupils, or sensitivity of the eyes to bright light; nausea, bloating, heartburn, or constipation; changes in taste. Stop taking Levbid and seek emergency medical attention if you experience any of the following serious side effects: an allergic reaction (difficulty breathing; closing of your throat; swelling of your lips, tongue, or face; or hives); an irregular or fast heart rate; rash or flushing; or eye pain. Other, less serious side effects may be more likely to occur.
Storage:
Keep out of the reach of children. Store this medication at room temperature away from moisture and heat.
Overdose:
Symptoms of a Levbid overdose include headache; nausea; vomiting; dry mouth; difficulty swallowing; blurred vision; dilated pupils; hot, dry skin; dizziness; drowsiness; confusion; anxiety; seizures; weak pulse; and an irregular heartbeat. Seek emergency medical attention in case of overdose.
