How Taken:
Use Cleocin as directed by your doctor. Apply a thin film of Cleocin T Topical Solution or use a Cleocin T Topical Solution pledget for the application of Cleocin T twice daily to affected area. Use each pledget only once and then discard it. You may use more than one pledget.
Warnings Precautions:
It is not known whether clindamycin is excreted in human milk following use of Cleocin T. However, orally and parenterally administered clindamycin has been reported to appear in breast milk.
Missed Dose:
If you miss a dose of Cleocin T, use it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not use 2 doses at once.
Side Effects:
Abdominal pain and gastrointestinal disturbances as well as gram-negative folliculitis have also been reported in association with the use of topical formulations of clindamycin. Orally and parenterally administered Cleocin T has been associated with severe colitis which may end fatally.
Storage:
Store away from heat, moisture, and light. Do not use pledget if the seal is broken. Keep all liquid dosage forms in containers tightly closed out of the reach of children. Discard after single use.
Overdose:
Seek emergency medical attention if an overdose is suspected. Topically applied Cleocin T can be absorbed in sufficient amounts to produce systemic effects.
